Profile

Clifton is the Head of IT at Russell McVeagh. He has over 20 years’ experience in the IT industry across a range of technology areas including networking, infrastructure, virtualisation, end user support, and applications, with particular knowledge in the Microsoft ecosystem.
 
Since starting at Russell McVeagh in 2019, initially as Infrastructure Manager, Clifton has been heavily involved in driving the successful implementation of Practice Management, Document Management, Video Conferencing, infrastructure, and cloud migration projects, among many others. He has also overseen and expanded the cybersecurity strategy and capabilities of the firm.
 
Clifton's focus is to ensure that the ‘problem’ is properly defined before the ‘solution’ is considered, and that technology strategy is always rooted in meeting business needs.

Experience

Before starting at Russell McVeagh, Clifton gained 12 years' experience as an ICT Manager at Auckland UniServices Limited, where he was responsible for overseeing ICT for the head office systems, including infrastructure, software, and other applications.
 
Earlier in his career he worked in IT engineering, working his way up from a junior engineer while finishing his studies, to an Engineering Services Manager at consultancy Atlantech.
