Alice is a planning and environmental law specialist advising on large-scale energy, infrastructure and property development projects.

Alice has extensive expertise in all areas of planning and environment law including consenting and planning matters under both standard RMA processes and fast-track, environmental due diligence, environmental policy and legislative reform, and local government matters.

She understands commercial drivers for clients and the importance of developing legal strategies to navigate and manage complex approval processes.

Alice regularly acts for clients at planning and environmental hearings including proceedings before local authorities, the Environment Court and High Court.

Waste Management on planning and consenting matters across the country, including its resource consent application for the Auckland Regional Landfill, one of New Zealand’s largest and most contentious consenting processes.
KiwiRail on projects including advice to obtain the relevant environmental approvals to construct and operate three train stations and associated interchanges at Drury Central, Paerata and Drury West.
A range of clients on referral and substantive applications for fast-track developments across the country including Fletcher Residential Limited on The Hill in Ellerslie.
Helios Energy on the consenting and development of a large-scale, 115MW solar farm in the Bay of Plenty.
Fonterra on planning and consenting matters across the country, including consenting projects, changes to water quality policy documents and reverse sensitivity matters.
Auckland Thoroughbred Racing Incorporated on planning and consenting matters at the Ellerslie and Pukekohe Racecourse.
