Russell McVeagh has been recognised for its role supporting its clients with achievements in the latest independent Legal 500 Asia-Pacific 2021 Guide. The firm's Corporate and M&A, Competition Law, Real Estate and Construction, Tax, Technology, Media and Telecommunications, and Restructuring and Insolvency expertise received eminent rankings, Data Protection received a new top-tier ranking, and the firm is recommended across 8 additional areas of law in this year's Guide.

A number of the firm's talented partners are honoured as esteemed members of the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, a new level of recognition in the New Zealand market for lawyers considered to be at the pinnacle of the profession. A special congratulations to Guy Lethbridge (Banking and Finance), Ed Crook (Real Estate and Construction), Matthew Kersey (Restructuring and Insolvency), and Fred Ward (Tax) who join this elite group.  

Ben Paterson (Corporate and M&A) and Marika Eastwick-Field (Dispute Resolution) also moved up in their rankings to become Leading Individuals.
