Katrine is a Special Counsel in Russell McVeagh's Real Estate and Construction team. 

She provides expert advice to clients on a wide range of matters and has particular expertise advising clients on complex national leasing portfolios, developments, major transactions and overseas investment.  She is known for her strong client relationships and ability to deliver effective results for her clients.

Katrine joined Russell McVeagh in 2026, following more than a decade at a leading New Zealand law firm.

Katrine's recent work includes:

• Advising a major residential aged care provider on its Overseas Investment Act applications for new retirement village developments and the expansion of existing villages.
• Acting for one of New Zealand's largest banks on all aspects of its national property portfolio, from business as usual matters to the establishment of new sites.
• Working on the team that acted for an international data centre operator to acquire two Auckland based data-centre assets.
• Advising a major New Zealand urban public transport operator on its national portfolio and development programme including the establishment and conversion of existing sites to fully integrated EV bus depots and associated Overseas Investment Act applications.
• Advising a US based global pharmaceutical company on the relocation of its warehouse in Auckland, including bespoke lease documentation to address temperature, security requirements and to ensure MedSafe regulatory compliance.
• Advising a major New Zealand investment and fund management firm on its head office relocation to a new- build Auckland CBD office tower.
