Nasif is a Senior Associate across Russell McVeagh's Litigation and Public Law and Regulation teams, based in Wellington.
He is an experienced litigator with a background in trial and appellate advocacy. He has experience in New Zealand and the United Kingdom across a broad range of matters, including regulatory investigations and enforcement, public law litigation and advice, civil and commercial litigation, criminal law, and reputation and crisis management.
Nasif began his legal career as a Judge's Clerk at the High Court of New Zealand, before practising as a Crown litigator and prosecutor. He has appeared throughout New Zealand's court system in criminal, regulatory investigation and enforcement, public law, and civil and commercial law cases on behalf of the Crown and other public bodies.
Prior to joining Russell McVeagh in 2026, Nasif spent time abroad completing a Master of Laws at Harvard University as a Frank Knox Fellow, and working as a litigator and reputation and crisis management lawyer in London advising prominent businesses and senior leaders on how to navigate high-stakes challenges such as regulatory scrutiny, media pressure, and major transitions and transactions.
