Joanna Comerford

Jo leads the national Business Development, Marketing & Communications team, responsible for delivering the firm's growth strategy and other strategic initiatives. She provides specialist advice and delivers programmes that enable the firm to continue to transform and be successful in the market by strengthening client experience, building reputation, and attracting and engaging top talent.

Jo provides strategic advice across all disciplines of business development, marketing and communications, as well as operational support across Russell McVeagh's business to proactively build the firm's profile.

She and her team provide expertise in strategy, transformation and change communications, client experience, go to market strategy, including proposals and RFPs, brand management and development, social media and digital channels, and thought leadership, sponsorships, events and advertising campaigns.

Jo is a senior business development, marketing and communications professional with experience in leading New Zealand and UK organisations. Prior to progressing in her career at Russell McVeagh, she has worked in a wide variety of Business Development, Marketing and Communications roles, including within professional services at PwC New Zealand and in financial services, at investment management firms AXA and Brewin Dolphin, in the UK.
