Three leading Russell McVeagh litigation partners, Marika Eastwick-Field, Malcolm Crotty and Polly Pope, have been recognised in Legal 500's inaugural Arbitration Powerlist: Australasia Region 2022 - a definitive list of the leading arbitration counsel in Australia and New Zealand.

As a core part of the firm’s disputes practice, our team are instructed in arbitrations involving commercial parties in New Zealand as well as international commercial arbitrations. Arbitration is the standard form of final and binding dispute resolution in construction, infrastructure and commercial lease disputes in New Zealand, and is popularly used in other areas such as shareholder disputes. Arbitration also offers a means for New Zealand companies trading internationally to resolve disputes in a neutral and enforceable way.

"We are proud of our leading litigators who have been recognised in this impressive list of leading arbitration counsel across Australia and New Zealand, for their outstanding and important work in this area." -  Russell McVeagh CEO, Jo Avenell.

As long-time supporters of the Arbitrators and Mediators Institute of New Zealand, Russell McVeagh are current sponsors of AMINZ’s determinative scholarship.
