Russell McVeagh partners Marika Eastwick-Field and Petra Carey have been named among the newest members of Global Women, recognising their leadership and commitment to advancing diversity and inclusion.
They join Russell McVeagh Corporate Advisory partners Mei Fern Johnson and Cath Shirley-Brown, and Litigation partner Kirsten Massey, who are already part of this network of more than 400 Global Women members working to lift representation in leadership and decision-making across workplaces and communities in Aotearoa New Zealand.
Marika says visibility and storytelling play a critical role in driving meaningful progress.
“Seeing and celebrating women in senior roles matters. It's equally important to be open about the pathways, challenges and support that help women get there. Through Global Women, I hope to continue championing diversity in leadership and the impact that education, mentorship and strong support networks can have."
Petra says she is proud to support initiatives that encourage women to back themselves and each other.
“Encouraging capable women to put their hands up for leadership roles is critical. Global Women plays an important role in creating the confidence and support needed for women to take that leap, for themselves, for each other and for their communities."
