Russell McVeagh runs a summer clerk programme every year from November to February, in both our Auckland and Wellington offices. This is a great opportunity for students in their penultimate (or pre-penultimate, in some cases) year of study, to work in New Zealand's top law firm alongside some of the best solicitors in the country.
As a summer clerk at Russell McVeagh, you will work in at least two practice areas of your choice, have ongoing technical and soft skill training, meet some great people and have all the perks of working at a top tier firm.
Our aim is for each of our summer clerks to have a great summer, get to know our firm, our people and our values and ultimately, to join us as a graduate once they finish university. This means that we only recruit as many summer clerks as we need for graduate positions.
Summer clerks are usually recruited during the university recruitment round, which begins in March each year. Our recruitment materials are distributed to New Zealand's six law schools – they include application details and interview dates. You can find further details on our recruitment dates on our calendar.
