Natalie is a commercial property and construction specialist. She has extensive experience advising clients in capital markets transactions, leasing, and construction projects.
 
She is known for her ability to deliver effective and efficient results for her clients, which include some of the largest corporations in New Zealand.

Experience

Natalie's recent experience includes:

  • Advising PowerSmart NZ Limited (a subsidiary of Vector Limited) on the form of construction contract and the design/procurement contracts for New Zealand's first floating solar project that was constructed for Watercare Services Limited (Auckland Council's water and wastewater entity) at Watercare's Rosedale Wastewater Treatment Plant on Auckland's North Shore.

  • Working with one of New Zealand's largest power companies to establish a panel of contractors to undertake capital works on the electricity network in Auckland, including advising on the form of construction contract to be used for the contracts carried out under the panel arrangements and negotiating the form of contract with the four potential panelists.

  • Working on the team that acted for Oyster Property Group on all aspects of an acquisition (though a proportionate ownership scheme) of Home Straight Business Park in Hamilton.

  • Advising T&G on the sale and leaseback of T&G's head office and distribution facility.

  • Working on the team that acted for Oyster Property Group on all aspects of its acquisition through a proportionate ownership scheme of Pastoral House in Wellington.

  • Advising one of New Zealand's largest supermarket chains on its new distribution centre, including OIO application.

  • Acting for PSPIB/CPPIB Waiheke Inc. in connection with a number of development projects, leasing transactions and disposals across its portfolio.

Natalie was admitted to practise in 2006.
 
Natalie began her career at Russell McVeagh in 2005 before moving to London where she worked as in-house counsel for UK Power Networks. She returned to Russell McVeagh in 2017 as a Senior Solicitor before being promoted to Special Counsel in 2019.
