Jeremy Whyte

Jeremy is a senior associate in Russell McVeagh's commercial Real Estate team. He advises New Zealand's most experienced property investors and developers, including leading domestic and overseas funds and property institutions and corporate property owner/occupiers on their most important projects. Jeremy has particular expertise working on commercial and residential land development projects.

His recent work includes advising: 

• Listed property entities on the ongoing development of various residential and commercial developments.
• Private investors on the acquisition of the Todd Property Group assets – the largest real estate deal of 2019.
• Drury South Limited on the development of the Drury South Crossing (a major mixed-use development in Drury, Auckland)
• A large petroleum operator in relation to various disposals and leasing transactions relating to their property portfolio.
• Fonterra in relation to various property matters related to its property portfolio, including acquisitions, disposals, leasing and developments.

Jeremy was admitted to practice in New Zealand in 2014 and is a current member of the Property Council of New Zealand. Prior to joining Russell McVeagh in 2018, Jeremy worked in the property team at another New Zealand boutique law firm.
