Four of Russell McVeagh's talented lawyers have been recognised as future legal leaders across Asia-Pacific in their respective areas in the ITR Rising Star Awards 2022, including partner Petra Carey (Competition/Antitrust), special counsel Brigette Shone (Litigation and Copyright), and senior associates Ling Yan Pang and Sarah DeSourdy Hastings (Debt Capital Markets). Brigette Shone has also been named one of only two NZ lawyers to win a New Zealand Jurisdiction Award this year. The Rising Star awards recognise the outstanding work being done by the region’s emerging leaders who have been rising to prominence within their chosen specialisations. Russell McVeagh CEO Jo Avenell says, "We're thrilled to see our Rising Stars recognised across the region and it's testimony to their outstanding work and their growing reputation throughout both New Zealand and the broader Asia-Pacific." These accolades follow on from Petra (Competition/Antitrust) and Brigette (Litigation) recently being named in Euromoney's Rising Star Expert Guides 2022, Ling Yan named in NZ Lawyer's Rising Star List 2021, and Brigette and Ling Yan also being recognised by Best Lawyers® 2023 Guide.
