Chrystal is a senior associate in the firm's Corporate Advisory practice. She provides pragmatic advice to government and private sector clients to support them in achieving their goals and objectives, whilst ensuring compliance with legislative and regulatory frameworks.
She also assists clients to input on proposed legislative and policy changes in their sector, including through consultation and inquiry processes. Chrystal's background in the public sector allows her to provide an insight into these processes and assist with effective advocacy.
Chrystal first joined Russell McVeagh in 2022. Before that, she worked at the Crown Law Office in the Attorney-General's Group, where she advised on and appeared in court in matters involving constitutional law, human rights and charitable trusts. Prior to that, she worked at the Law Commission, contributing to a range of legal and policy reform projects. She rejoined Russell McVeagh in 2026.
