Isaac is a corporate lawyer who has extensive experience advising on mergers and acquisitions, private equity transactions, overseas investment, joint ventures and a broad range of general corporate matters.
Isaac returned to Russell McVeagh in 2021 after four years working in London for Slaughter and May, where he advised on several high-profile cross-border and domestic transactions.


Isaac's recent work includes advising:

  • A construction and services business on the merger of its facilities management division (forming the largest facilities management company in the UK).

  • Certain major shareholders of Aston Martin in connection with the company's £500 million capital raise (by way of a placing and rights issue).

  • An independent brewing and pub retailing business, listed on the London stock exchange, on a joint venture relating to its UK brewing and distribution business.

  • A renewable energy investment firm on its acquisition of a 50% interest in a significant wind farm project in Sweden.

  • Certain major shareholders of Aston Martin in connection with their partial offer to acquire further shares in the company.

  • UK Green Investment Bank on its privatisation and subsequent sale to Macquarie Bank.

  • A global private equity firm on its investment in an insurance firm in Italy.

  • A bidder for an operating interest in significant gas transmission assets in Chad and Cameroon.

  • A sovereign wealth fund on its investment in a premium childcare provider in the UK.

  • A global private equity firm on its investment in a waste management company in the UK.

  • Pacific Equity Partners on its acquisition of Manuka Health New Zealand.

  • A bidder for Vector's gas transmission and gas distribution businesses.

  • Crescent Capital Partners Management and New Zealand Panels Group on the acquisition of the Bestwood and Kopine businesses from Carter Holt Harvey.

  • Lion on its acquisition of Morton Estate.

  • Howard-Willis Limited on its acquisition of Fox Group Limited, owner of the DTR Finance and Appliance Shed businesses.

  • Woolworths on its acquisition of EziBuy. 

  • The shareholders of Torpedo7 on its partial sale to The Warehouse.
