Emma Ferrier is a senior associate in Russell McVeagh's Litigation team. She has experience in a wide range of matters, including local government, regulatory enforcement, environmental law, and civil litigation.

Before joining Russell McVeagh in 2019, Emma worked as a crown prosecutor at a Wellington-based law firm, regularly appearing in the District Court and High Court.

Experience

Emma's recent work includes:

  • Advising on and conducting regulatory prosecutions under health and safety and resource management legislation.
  • Regularly appearing as counsel for the Commissioner of NZ Police in civil asset restraint and forfeiture proceedings in the High Court.
  • Appearing as counsel in appeals in the High Court for both the Crown and other regulators.

BCA (Hons), LLB, Victoria University of Wellington.
