Bridget is a senior associate in Russell McVeagh's litigation group, with expertise in commercial, public law and employment disputes. She is a thoughtful and focused advocate, who works collaboratively with clients on all aspects of dispute resolution.


Bridget is experienced in both advisory and courtroom work, having practised previously at the Crown Law Office and, in the United Kingdom, at the Treasury Solicitor's Department (now the Government Legal Department). She has appeared at all levels of the New Zealand court system.

Bridget's recent experience includes:

  • Advising Spark on an urgent application for interim orders in respect of the Commerce Commission's clearance process for a proposed merger of Sky TV and Vodafone New Zealand.
  • Advising an energy sector client on a trading conduct investigation.
  • Acting for a New Zealand transport client on a high-value pricing arbitration.
  • Advising an international client on a complex cross-border contract dispute.
  • Advising and acting on personal grievance claims in the Employment Relations Authority.

Bridget joined Russell McVeagh in 2016, after a number of years litigating, at the Crown Law Office and the United Kingdom's Treasury Solicitor's Department. Most recently, Bridget was Crown Counsel at Crown Law, where she advised and acted on a range of matters and appeared regularly in court. Before commencing practice, Bridget was a Judge's clerk at the New Zealand Court of Appeal. She was admitted to practise in New Zealand in 2008.
