About the role

We are looking for an experienced banking and finance lawyer to join our Auckland based team.   

Reporting into Deemple Budhia, who's consistently ranked as one of the top lawyers in her field, you will have the opportunity to work across an array of specialties in debt capital markets, securitisation (including covered bonds) and structured finance, financial markets regulation (including bank regulation, AML/CFT, consumer credit) and derivatives.

You will be acting as an advisor to major banks, listed companies, and government clients.  You will support them to navigate through some of their most complex financial transactions.

  • 4+ years' of banking and finance experience (preferably experience in securitisation or another related field).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and think critically.
  • Strong technical knowledge and commercial acumen.
  • Ability to build connections and work collaboratively.
