Profile

Kieron is a Senior Associate in Russell McVeagh's Litigation team specialising in employment law and health and safety. Kieron advises on all aspects of employment law with a particular focus on restructures, personal grievances (including bullying and harassment claims) and advising on minimum entitlement compliance obligations.

Kieron advises on issues under the Holidays Act, Human Rights Act and the Privacy Act and the calibre of her work was recognised in 2022 by NZ Lawyer when she appeared on its Rising Stars list.

Experience

Kieron's relevant experience includes:

  • Advising on national restructures and issues relating to the redundancy process

  • Advising on all aspects of personal grievance matters, including mediations and exit discussions

  • Advising on compliance with minimum employment standards and undertaking reviews of such compliance

  • Advising on employee share and incentive scheme

  • Advising on restraints of trade

  • Drafting and advising on employment agreements, workplace policies

Professional

Kieron began her career in 2011 and was admitted to the bar the same year. Kieron worked at boutique litigation and employment firms in New Zealand before working in both the United Kingdom and in Australia. Kieron returned to New Zealand in 2020 as a Senior Associate and worked at another firm until joining Russell McVeagh in 2023.
 
She is a member of the Auckland District Law Society's Employment Law Committee.
