Before joining Russell McVeagh in 2004, he was a partner at another New Zealand law firm.
- Acting for Australia's Transpacific Industries in the merger with Waste Management. Waste Management is New Zealand's largest waste collection company and landfill operator. Waste Management shareholders received an amalgamation payment, plus a dividend payment amounting in total to NZ$903 million. This ground-breaking transaction is the only cash amalgamation involving a public company that has ever occurred in New Zealand.
- Advising on the sale of Crombie Lockwood Holdings' subsidiaries.
- Advising Wuerth International AG on their purchase of metal fasteners supply business of James Glen Pty Ltd.
- Advising BT Funds on the outsourcing of its fund administration services and in relation to its fund accounting software licensing and support agreements.
- Advising TrustPower and Progressive Enterprises on various software licensing, maintenance and support development agreements.
- Advising Guinness Peat Group plc on its New Zealand acquisitions.
